Zopp

Zopp began in 2010, Nottingham, UK, by multi-instrumentalist and producer Ryan Stevenson. The project originally started out as a labour of love - a quest to write strange, complex progressive music. Over a 10 year period, during the making of the first record, Zopp embraced other elements from classical, ambient and electronic music, resulting in a layered and cinematic sound. It wasn’t until 2018 when Ryan finished compiling songs for the first release and recruited guest musicians Andrea Moneta (Leviathan) on drums,Theo Travis (Soft Machine) on flute and award winning keyboard player Andy Tillison (The Tangent) to help mix and produce the album. The self titled, critically acclaimed debut received 'Album of the Year' from Progarchives.com and was included in Prog Magazine's 'Top Albums' of 2020 . Zopp return with their highly anticipated sophomore record ‘Dominion’ in February 2023. Three years in the making, the album takes the listener on a vast and epic journey spanning avant garde, prog, jazz, ambient, folk and psychedelic rock music.
