Nigeria's [wimpLink artistId="10341043"]Young Jonn[/wimpLink] is successful as both a record producer and solo artist. Working at the Hit Factory studio beginning in 2012, he produced hits for [wimpLink artistId="5033727"]Olamide[/wimpLink], [wimpLink artistId="4284811"]Davido[/wimpLink], [wimpLink artistId="6052842"]Lil Kesh[/wimpLink], and others before he emerged as a singer in his own right. The EPs Love Is Not Enough, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 appeared in 2022, and debut album Jiggy Forever arrived in 2024.
Born in Ibadan, Oyo State in 1995, [wimpLink artistId="10341043"]Young Jonn[/wimpLink] started learning an instrument as a child. He formed his first group, AVG, with his brothers but it didn't really take off. He went on to study Communication and Language at Ibadan University before signing on as a producer at Hit Factory in 2012. His breakthrough came after producing some tracks for [wimpLink artistId="5033727"]Olamide[/wimpLink] in 2014, including the hit single "Story for the Gods." This led to work with numerous artists, including [wimpLink artistId="4284811"]Davido[/wimpLink], [wimpLink artistId="6052842"]Lil Kesh[/wimpLink], and [wimpLink artistId="4138403"]Flavour[/wimpLink]. After a decade of record producing, [wimpLink artistId="10341043"]Jonn[/wimpLink] signed to Chocolate City and released two EPs, Love Is Not Enough, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.
