You, Me, Everybody is about gifting others their moment to shine, a celebration of the virtuosity of the individual and the camaraderie of coming together in a musical moment. Taking their inspiration from a range of musical styles, You, Me, Everybody starts at bluegrass, weaving jazz, country and blues to create a dynamic sound that showcases the best of Americana. Finalists for Aotearoa Music Awards Best Folk Artist in 2021, the band have gained national recognition for pushing boundaries to create their own form of New Zealand's progressive bluegrass. Their music challenges the usual rhythms and and chord patterns of traditional bluegrass to create songs that feature more complex and and nuanced subjects such as alienation and isolation, in addition to the staples of whiskey, love and loss.
