XIII

XIII are an experimental punk band from Perth, Western Australia. Nestled within the stringy paperbark trees that line the Swan River, a log studio affectionately known as The Cabin invitingly throws out a drunken glow of warm light. As you take a deep breath and start to walk slowly towards the gritty structure, you can taste the smoke gently trickling from the chimney... getting closer still, you notice the stress cracks in the timber and how nicely they've soaked up the stains… you realise… XIII are on the graveyard shift. “Musical graffiti ranging from ecstatic punk to maniacal, grinding noises, dangerously united in crude passion and integrity”
