Wynona Bleach

Wynona Bleach GB

Rock / Alternative Rock
Fusing epic shoegaze textures with melodic alt-rock and dream pop, Northern Irish quartet Wynona Bleach officially formed in Belfast in 2018. Prior to this they toured heavily under a different moniker including Reading & Leeds festivals and a 10 date Russian headline tour. In January 2018, they issued their debut single "Eyes Burning ," and followed this up with a self-titled EP "Sugar". In 2019/2020, weeks after being personally chosen as support for Alice In Chains on the Irish leg of their world tour, the band moved a full recording studio from Belfast to an abandoned warehouse in Portugal, where they lived & worked with Bill Ryder-Jones (The Coral) to record their first LP "Moonsoake" - a release delayed by covid until '23. The album was partly mixed by Grammy Nominated mixing engineers Avril Mackintosh and Andy Bradfield (Rufus Wainwright, Manic Street Preachers , The xx + more). In '22 they released 4 singles from their debut, "Glimmer", "Drag", “Aubergines” & “Moonsoake” & announced their signing to Fierce Panda Records . The debut album “Moonsoake” was released on Feb 18th '22, & was nominated for the Northern Ireland Music Prize for Best Album as well as the band's nomination for Best Live Act. '23 saw the band completing two UK tours (with appearances at SXSW and New Colossus Festivals in the USA) culminating in an Irish tour with fellow Irish power-poppers Ash. The new singles "Swim in the Bay" and "I Deserve that" mark them embarking on their second album.
