Unverkalt

Unverkalt merges raw and versatile vocals with elements of doom, post-metal, avant-garde, and alternative music. Rooted in the influences of European cinema, art movements, and human experiences, Unverkalt's music embraces a duality of darkness and romanticism. They skillfully fuse the ache of emotional turmoil with the light of catharsis and redemption. Founded in 2017 by guitarist Themis and vocalist Dimitra, the band also features Eli on guitar, Christian on drums, and Yoshi on bass. They debuted their first album, "L'Origine Du Monde," in 2020 through a partnership with Vinylstore. Shortly after their debut, Unverkalt entered the studio in Berlin to record their second full-length album. Titled "A Lump of Death: A Chaos of Dead Lovers," the album was released via Argonauta Records in 2023. The album, with its grueling, powerful, and intense themes, received widespread acclaim, including a 9/10 review from Metal Hammer Greece. Since their formation, Unverkalt has played numerous shows across Europe, captivating audiences with their dynamic performances and atmospheric soundscapes. The band has shared the stage with many renowned acts, further solidifying their reputation as a formidable presence in the post-metal scene. Unverkalt's evolving sound and artistic vision demonstrate a clear and unique identity, signaling their continued growth and direction in the post-metal scene.
