Award-winning artist Tom Busby has released the third single from his forthcoming
debut solo album ‘Rockhampton Hangover’, out later this year.
‘Cyclone’ was recorded in the rugged Texas Hill Country, produced by American singer
songwriter Ben Kweller, who also co-wrote the song with Tom.
Tom explains, “Cyclone is the first track off my solo record - a wild, fast-paced song about diving headfirst into the unknown. It’s about that mix of fear and excitement you feel when everything’s changing, but you’re backing yourself anyway. It’s raw, a bit chaotic, and it’s been tearing up the live set lately.
This track comes hot on the heels of the success of his debut solo single ‘Waiting
For Tomorrow’ in early March which achieved over 35K streams and his second single ‘Someone Strong’ achieving 20k in the first weeks of release and growing support from Australian radio in addition to Tom’s years of performing with Busby Marou. The platinum-selling, iconic Aussie folk duo had 3x Top 5 ARIA charting albums plus a
#1 record with ‘Postcards From The Shell House’ in 2017.
Tickets for Tom’s debut solo tour in May are available now and selling fast and selling out. Performances are also scheduled for Sydney, Melbourne, the
Gold Coast and Bundaberg.
