Completing the NorthWest gig circuit, Liverpool-based punk trio Tits Up are tired of your shit, kicking off the already doomed New Year with their debut EP, ’Greatest Tits.’ With influence from L7, Bikini Kill & The Cramps (but not too much, stop mentioning it, alright?!), Greatest Tits is a sonic tour de force, a punch in the face, the crème de la crème of post-pandemic angst. Ok, real talk. Produced in AlienSound Studios, Greatest Tits encapsulates both the energy of the trio’s live performances & their infectious approach to song craft. Yet, don’t say Tits Up have sold out with cheap hooks & puns; Evie, Jess & Amanda are keeping it real to the highest degree. From the raunchy EP opener, ‘Get Ya On’, their manifesto is abundantly clear: Tits Up are here for themselves & not for you (yes, that's right, you…). With the trio’s characteristic riff-driven song writing, sense of humour, & flippant flipping of the male gaze present from the get go, it's certain this rodeo ain’t stopping. But hey, that’s not all on offer here you piece of shit! Exploring the further reaches of the Tits Up sonic cosmos, ‘Baby’ sees the trio offer a sensual melodic slow burn before telling it like it is with ’Macho Bullshit’s slap in the face gang vocals. To top it off, no one is safe from the trio’s hatred-fuelled petty revenge in ‘Birthday Party’ - an ode to those on the fringes of playground politics - before leaving ya hanging with ‘Get ‘Em While They’re Hot’s rockabilly fuelled one-two-punch.
