Tiny Camels

Tiny Camels GB

Rock / Indie Rock
Cardiff’s Tiny Camels don’t see themselves as part of any particular trend or fashion, instead opting to bring the sound of power pop into the modern day. The band formed in 2021, when songwriter Joel Hurst (vocals, guitar) and his brother Ethan Hurst (drums) rekindled old creative partnerships with friends Jack Permintella (bass, synth, vocals) and Dominic Griffin (lead guitar, vocals). Described as "Tame Impala meets Simon and Garfunkel with more than a passing reference to The Kinks", the band aim to buck the current trend of 70s punk and 80s dance pop revivals in favour of a more upbeat, melodic, quintessentially British sound. Their debut single ‘Feeling Existential’ has already earned high praise from Adam Walton’s BBC Introducing show, describing the track as; “an exquisite orgasm of power pop … already a shoe in for my best of year programme; and we’re only in February.” Tiny Camels aim to shake up a rather subdued indie-rock scene, offering a soundtrack to the every-day struggles of life with catchy choruses, infectious rhythms and shining guitars.
