Themis

Themis draws his listeners to the darker side of rock music. He perfectly combines gloom with a touch of bitter-sweetness, emotional longing and a huge portion of Queer-Power and punk-attitude. Themis and his live-band have spent the last four years fanning the flames of a growing and loyal fan base and recently played successful Tours as supportacts for UK-alternative-bands like Black Honey, The Pale White and Sweden's emo-punker Tribe Friday. After touring and releasing the debut-album The Heavy Door, which gained critical acclaim, they decided to write, record and produce the next record Thalassa. On Thalassa (Greek: the sea), Themis delves much deeper into the intoxicating mix of dark reverb-laden melodies, searing dirty grunge-bass-riffs and noisy, driving drums hinted at on songs like Night Thoughts or Spooky AF - as wide and heavy as the sea itself. Thalassa offers a deeper look into Themis' musical blend of garage-rock, indie and post-punk and may remind of artists the likes of The Kills, PJ Harvey and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
