The Sun Champs

The Sun Champs are a Pittsburgh-based funk rock band who formed in late 2017, and celebrated the release of their self-titled debut EP in June 2019. The band incorporates dirty blues-rock riffs, jazzy keyboards, guitar and saxophone mastery, Flea-like funky bass work, and latin/funk drumming to create a unique and indescribable sound, somewhere between the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ray Charles, Carlos Santana, and the Grateful Dead.
