Temple of Dread

The foundation of the band was preceded by the consideration of the friends Markus Bünnemeyer and Frank Albers, why (Death-) Metal today often seems rather sterile and "heady". The goal should be to transfer the carefree spirit of the eighties and nineties death metal scene into today's time. Songs with high recognition value, understandable structures and nevertheless predominantly high speed represented in the opinion of the two fans in the new millennium unfortunately only marginal phenomena in the flood of modern releases. While guitarist/bassist Bünnemeyer (previously Thrashhammer and live bassist with the death metal band Slaughterday) immediately began composing the first songs, psychologist Albers started writing suitable lyrics. In the search for fellow musicians, Jörg Uken (Soundlodge Studios) could first be won over as a drummer and furthermore as a producer. During a joint rehearsal with Slaughterday, their guitarist Jens Finger turned out to be the ideal candidate for the vocal position. In this line-up, the albums "Blood Craving Mantras", "World Sacrifice", "Hades Unleashed" and "Beyond Acheron" were produced in the first five years of the band's history and received extremely positive reviews from fans and critics alike.
