Change – both stylistic and personal – characterizes Teen Agers’ latest effort, When We Were. The full length by the Orlando, FL quartet harnesses the same raw energy Teen Agers is known for, but 2018 sees their sound evolving into something more urgent, intricate, and smarter. When We Were tackles topics like tragic personal loss and longing, showcasing a matured Teen Agers grizzled – and maybe a little tattered – by experience, but ultimately stronger for it.
