The next cookie-cutter Viking Band? Not at all! Tales of Ratatoesk are finest Pagen/Folk metal from the Ruhrgebiet in Germany. Based on a foundation of black and death metal, garnished with some folky tunes of bagpipes and viola, the seven weekend-vikings of Tales of Ratatoesk aim for moving the known genre-clichees. Driving Guitars, Shouts and growls deliver the neccessary heavyness while the folk department delivers danceable epic melodies, constantly tossing the listener around between the battlefield and the feast that follows afterwards. With this recipe, and equipped with a giant plush squirrel, this band sets out to deliver moshpits and dancemoves alike to any stage of the world that can handle them.
