Syana's Montreal upbringing and essence is the root of her artistry. Now focusing on her rap-based tracks, her early beginnings in the Mile-End's alternative techno basements is what kickstarted her DJ career at the age of 17. Her imprint on Montreal’s nightlife culture, with back to back hard-banging sets, has made her gain a loyal club & ravers fan base locally and outside of her hometown. Particularly through her two Boiler Room sets in 2023 (Toronto & Montreal), her Latex residency, and her involvement in community through DJTAL Studios and MTL 24/24, she has landed at #2 as best nightclub DJ in Cult MTL’s 2023 ‘Best of MTL’ list. Although the club has shaped her and will always be one her sources of inspiration, she is reclaiming her space within hip-hop & rap's sounds. Nightlife was her safe space while transitioning, but she is ready to go back to the source of what she grew up with in her neighbourhood.
