SUNBIRDS

Sunbirds are a band formed by Phil Barton and Dave Hemingway, a founder member of The Beautiful South, following his departure from The South in 2016. The band is based in London and blends elements of folk, country, rock and pop, delivering heartfelt and introspective music. Their debut album Cool to Be Kind was released in 2020, receiving praise for its reflective lyrics and melodically rich compositions. The album captures themes of life, love, and change with an acoustic and Americana-inspired twist. In May 2024 Dave Hemingway left the band due to personal reasons. The current band lineup is: Phil Barton: Guitar Chris Offen: Guitar & Vocals Damian Grant: Drums Phil Chapman: Bass & vocals Sunbirds have earned a reputation for their engaging accomplished live performances, characterized by songs crafted with heart, grit, and love. They are currently recording their 2nd album entitled A Life Worth Living.
