2023 Boston Music Award nominee, Sugar Business, was incorporated during the Great Global Shitshow of 2020. Its three principles had integrated previously and took advantage of modern technologies to create something new during the joy-killing lockdowns commonplace of the era. It was good. Sugar Business’ predominantly aural offerings — or “Sugar” — are intended to penetrate the external acoustic meatus of anyone interested in participating in the following Four Tenets: • Feeling good or even great • Physically moving in sync with a rhythm • Reinforcement of positive self-belief • Relief from boredom or societal stressors Sugar Business brings together extra-cerebral and perspirational influences in the tradition of innovators and disciples of historically Sugar-Based content, in an effort to combat the incoming forces of dullness, obtuseness and avarice.
