Active since 2015, with a sound described by Metal Hammer as “mediterranean fuzzed-up heavy rock”, STONUS’s debut album 'Aphasia' found life in 2020 through Electric Valley Records and Daredevil Records, earning its place in various AOTY lists within the scene. This was shortly followed by their 2021 EP ‘Seance’, also released through Electric Valley Records. In 2024, they have released the ‘Live in Zen’ LP, a studio session showcasing a collection of existing tracks played in a live setting, before entering the studio in August 2024 to record what would become their sophomore full-length album. Characterised by their energetic performances, high voltage sounds, and old school attitude, STONUS are currently considered to be the most internationally-active Cypriot rock band, having completed a European co-headline tour with SWAN VALLEY HEIGHTS (Fuzzorama Records) in 2022 (13 dates across GER, UK, AUS, CZE, CYP), including a headlining appearance at Berlin Swamp Fest, as well as a UK tour in 2021. In 2023, STONUS completed a European mini-tour including an appearance at Westill Festival (FR) alongside bands such as Truckfighters, Kadavar, and Colour Haze. Earlier in the year, they were the supporting act to Nightstalker in London, 1000mods in Cyprus, and appeared at SoundArt Festival (RO).
