Stella Zekri

Stella Zekri is a Parisian-born artist living in Berlin. Her debut EP Détends-Toi was released in 2022 by Cosmic Romance; a sunny collection of four original songs, one dub version and one special cover. With her silky, sultry vocals taking the fore, the artist presents a sensual tribute to Zouk, Boogie and the sound of mid-80s French underground. It comes as no surprise that Stella also holds a passion for collecting records. Over the years, she has become a signature member of Berlin’s club community, enacting an old-school ethic of the DJ as a community-driven role. Much like her DJ-practice, her own music pays loving homage to sounds of the past while spinning them into the present elegantly - never simply lapsing into nostalgia. Together with Ed Longo, who runs the label Cosmic Romance and also happens to be the producer and co-writer of Détends-Toi, the band Stella and the Longos was formed, quickly establishing themselves to be an enchanting live experience.
