SHIRAN

Electro Hafla (Arabic Party) is the original sound that SHIRAN brings to the stage in a production by her husband, the producer Ron Bakal. The music is a traditional-futuristic mix with a middle eastern touch. In this EP, SHIRAN’s musical landscape has developed and been inspired by the many stories and experiences of her cherished and much-loved Grandmother who left Yemen in 1949 for Israel as part of her 'Aliyah' in search of the Jewish homeland. SHIRAN together with Ron's production, wrap the songs in their unique sound, Electro Hafla, which creates an experience for the listener. Electro Hafla is the next EP that Shiran will introduce us to. She leads us into the life of a woman from Yemen who lives far from her origins and who may not be able to easily rediscover this country she cannot visit. Throughout these 5 tracks Shiran opens the doors of her life as a woman, her feelings, her family and love relationships while bathing in a traditional but futuristic rhythm in a middle east atmosphere. This EP is a binding one, a collection of feelings and nostalgia that many women can experience when they live against the tide of life that has been dictated to them.
