Pocket Sun

Born from a woozy synth-fueled landscape, Pocket Sun fuses alternative pop, psychedelia, and jazz, crafting an outcome that is both playful and tinged with nostalgia. Through ethereal melodies and hypnotic grooves, the band invites listeners to lay back, feel the sunshine on their faces, close their eyes, and sway into synesthetic bliss. Based in Bristol, UK, the band is led by Gina Marie Tratt, whose background in 70s-inspired animation is integral to their distinct visual and auditory experience. Pocket Sun’s performances transcend traditional concerts, evolving into immersive audio-visual experiences. They incorporate custom animations, dynamic stage design, and a unique scent, “Memory Lane,” to create a multi-sensory environment that enhances their music. Over the past four years, Pocket Sun has developed their musical journey through a series of singles, EPs and their first full-length album. “Wake Up,” the lead single from their EP, Binocular—produced by Ali Chant (known for his work with PJ Harvey, Portishead, and Gruff Rhys)—was re-released on the influential label Kitsuné, alongside tracks from artists such as Hot Chip, La Roux, and Two Door Cinema Club. The band’s debut full-length album, Mirror In Blue Light, released on August 28, 2024, has garnered acclaim from Radio 6, NPR, Crack Magazine, and Clash Magazine.
