Onna Lou is a singer and a songwriter born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her sweet yet powerful voice has captivated listeners in genres like flamenco, Latin American folk, tango, jazz, pop and rock. She majored in Classical Composition at Universidad Catolica Argentina in Buenos Aires in 2012. After that she moved to Boston and majored in Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music. She currently lives in Winnipeg, Canada. She has studied and worked with multiple Latin Grammy winners such as Javier Limon, and Alejandro Sanz (which resulted in her participation in the 2013 Latin Grammy show), and Venezuelan producer Raniero Palm. She also performed in New York as a guest artist of acclaimed Spanish artist Rosana. Since she moved to Canada in 2016 she has performed hundreds of shows becoming part of Winnipeg's vibrant music scene. She has received the support of Winnipeg Arts Council in 2017, Manitoba Arts Council in 2018 and 2021, and the Canada Council for the Arts in August 2021. “Ahora” is her first album released in 2015 with an intimate acoustic sound. Her second album “Diamante” is in production with the support of Canada Council for the Arts. Three singles that are part of it have been released so far in 2021 “Bailar de a dos”, “Amor crónico”, and "Ojos de almendra". The composition of her third album on 2022 has already received the support of Manitoba Arts Council.
