Motifv

Motifv, the musical moniker of Joseph Kechter, is a 27 year old musician and producer born and raised in the foothills of Northern Colorado. His beautifully blunted beats meander between futuristic synthesis and collages of gospel and soul. Motifv has maintained an almost analog mystique, which is influenced by his surroundings and also reflected in his visual offerings. His debut album, “The Path," was self released in 2019 to much acclaim and has garnered him a loyal following. As he continued to expand perspective and explore more genre-bending techniques, his sophomore album “Dilated Mind” flowed through stereos in 2021 via Featherweight Records. As he begins to navigate new horizons and express himself beyond words, you will now find him deep in the studio, constantly cooking up something for the future.
