Megan Dixon Hood

Exploring alternative and electronic pop genres, Megan Dixon Hood is a solo artist based near Manchester, UK. After studying songwriting in Manchester, Megan has been steadily building her career in music under the radar of the traditional music industry, with fans attracted to her storytelling and her connection with nature. Describing her sound as ‘forest pop’, Megan takes inspiration from folklore, mythology and nature to create glorious soundscapes with cinematic storytelling, enhanced by soaring vocal performances. Her unique style has drawn a wide variety of comparisons from AURORA to Florence + The Machine. Megan released her debut album 'East of The Sun’ in April 2023 via her own independent label Poppabubblehead, with lead track ‘The Wishing Tree’ generating traction on TikTok. Megan has received extensive radio support from the BBC, had her music featured on TV and has been very proactive with performing live, appearing at many UK music festivals including 2,000 Trees, The Great Escape and Standon Calling. In 2023, Megan and her three-piece band completed a UK headline tour in support of her new album. Megan released her new single 'Mind's Eye' on August 2nd. She is currently working on her second album, which is planned for release in late 2025.
