Matush began his career in the early 1990s as a young DJ specializing in funky music. He quickly developed a passion for vinyl records, mastering the art of DJing and captivating audiences with his unique style. His talent earned him the title of Polish Scratching DMC Champion, which led to his participation in the prestigious World DJ Mixing Championships in Rimini, Italy, in 1996.
By the mid-1990s, Matush was a key promoter of house music, performing at major raves and events. In 1998, he released his first official mixed CD compilation for the Low Pressings Traxx label and debuted his first 12’’ vinyl, “OFF-Limit EP.” In 2001, his single “Latino Laif” became a cult classic on dance floors, frequently played in Ibiza’s iconic clubs.
Matush soon secured residencies at legendary Polish clubs such as Hades, Trend, Piekarnia, H2O, Klatka, and ZOO. His signature events—Call Me Baby, Fresh Fruits, Housexy, and Magiczna Noc Urodzin.
In 2009, his single “Party Time” reached #10 on Beatport, one of the world’s largest digital music stores. By 2014, Matush founded his own record label, Groove Tom Records, to further explore and promote house music.
As a DJ, Matush’s style seamlessly blends tech house and classic house, a versatility that has allowed him to perform across the globe—from Dublin, London, and Ibiza to Warsaw and Moscow. He has graced the stages of prestigious clubs and festivals, including Creamfields, Electrocity, Audioriver, Sunrise, and Berlin’s Street.
