Hold on tight, here comes Mama Shakers from France, the swinging whirlwind that knocks your socks off! Led by the charismatic Angela Strandberg (vocals, trumpet & washboard), supported by the impetuous Hugo Proy (clarinet) and the wild rhythm section with William Öhlund (banjo), Baptiste Hec (guitar) and Gabriel Seyer (double bass), Mama Shakers makes tribute to the long forgotten hot jazz from the 1920s with a style of their own. With lots of vocal harmonies, energetic arrangements and even dance, Mama Shakers takes the audience along on a youthful time travel that won’t leave anyone indifferent! Since the creation of the band in 2016 in Paris, Mama Shakers have done more than 300 shows and played at numerous festival internationally. Mama Shakers have released two albums of original compositions mixed with interpretations of their favorite centenary classics, and are now preparing an extravagant summer tour 2024.
