Linear Movement

LINEAR MOVEMENT is a notable Belgian synthpop band from the early 1980s, has been spearheaded by Peter Bonne, also known for his work with Twilight Ritual, Autumn, Chayell and A Split-Second. The band is acclaimed for its melodic and minimal electronic sound that resonated deeply within the underground music scene. Their brief yet impactful existence produced a collection of tracks that have since become cult classics. Authentic, Modern, Timeless. Their seminal album, "On the Screen”, released only in 2009 followed by “The Linear Way” in 2016 (both on Minimal Wave records), encapsulates the essence of their innovative approach to synthpop. Standout tracks such as "Way Out of Living”, with an exquisite vocal performance by Lieve Van Steerteghem, and "The Game" showcase their distinctive blend of melancholic melodies, minimalistic arrangements, and haunting vocals. Despite their limited original discography, Linear Movement's music has been celebrated for its emotional depth and atmospheric quality. In recent years, new generations of synthpop and minimal wave enthusiasts have rediscovered and cherished Linear Movement's music.
