Lemonsuckr are masters of the art of patience. Their diligence at taking their time to create music seemingly a rarity in today’s world of restless artificial intelligence fascination. Guy Ferris, Oscar Post, Matt Saunders and Ollie Thomas understood they needed time to calibrate what they wanted to make, so they set out to converting a used shipping container into their own rehearsal and writing space. Obsessed by a mission to fuse their individual outputs and emerge with a sound that was exclusively theirs, at the end of that year the doors slammed shut and for countless hours they set to work. What materialized from the primal approach of the incubation was a streamlined sonic woven from their collective DNA. Lyricist Guy’s aggressive and catchy hooks, artfully synergising with his instrumental counterparts Ollie & Oscar. Guitar playing with the precision of a pair of surgeons, deftly arranging and dilating guitars with the application of experimental pedals and loops, all framed by the judicious and metronomic percussion of Matt. In late 2024 their objective was complete, It was time put everything together on the stage. Lemonsuckr live performances are nothing short of chaos with a hot-bloodedness and confidence afforded only to a group of people who have spent so long understanding what they want an audience to feel, from the immediate pounding and unrelenting beat to the last screech of feedback.
