Jules Duke is optimistic. 
Having spent the last ten years fronting garage-psych standards Mystic Braves, Julian Ducatenzeiler has now focused his evocative writing towards a multidimensional sound. This solo effort, Jules Duke, is equal parts hooky and subtle, blending elements of rock & roll, disco, funk, and pop. 
Mystic Braves helped lead the guitar driven 60s psychedelia revival of the 2010s, a decade which brought the 5-piece band critical acclaim, laps around the US & Europe, and even the soundtrack to a runway show for Yves Saint Laurent. 
Embracing a newfound affection for dance music, a respite from the information overdose and global tumult of our era, Jules Duke reminds us to roll down the windows in the hour before midnight. Glassy production, nostalgic instrumentation, and fresh melodies make for songs that nod to a past time, while grounding us within the chaos of today.
