John Also Bennett

John Also Bennett (aka JAB) is an American composer, flautist and synthesist who creates music that could be described as ambient or minimalist. His debut solo album Erg Herbe, which uses flutes, microtonal synthesis and field recordings, was released via Shelter Press in 2019. He has since released several solo albums with varied instrumentation, but all linked by a shared engagement with nothingness, as well as three albums with his partner Christina Vantzou as CV & JAB. He has also collaborated with Jon Gibson, Michael Harrison, Giovanni di Domenico and Pak Yan Lau, Jefre-Cantu Ledesma, LEYA, Wild Terrier Orchestra, Peter Burr, and Zin Taylor, among many others in various configurations.
