See JOCEAN's debut EP "For the Fellowship of Life" released December 13, 2019. JOCEAN (solo) received a highly commended award for his "Earth Song" entry in the 2018 Illawarra Folk Festival / APRA AMCOS Songwriting Competition themed "Start Your Own Revolution". This song features on JOCEAN's debut EP. "JOCEAN" has a strong connection to social justice, nature & the environment. He has performed at "Action Against Climate Change" concerts in Wollongong, "Strike for Climate" events in Nowra, & The Wilderness Society's "Koala Campaign Launch" in Sydney. "JOCEAN" means joyous & alongside his percussionist, the "Big Beats Brucey" on the Beats, they perform as a duo act also called "JOCEAN". They are popular performers at market events in Kiama, Wollongong, Gerringong and Berry, NSW Australia. JOCEAN (duo) have twice been finalists in the Passport to Airlie Illawarra - Battle of the Band competitions 2018 and 2019. JOCEAN (duo) have performed at the Illawarra Folk Festival (2018 & 2019) Peak Music Festival 2018, Folk by the Sea Kiama (2018 &2019), Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival 2019, Northern Beaches Music Festival 2019, Jervis Bay Arts Festival 2019, Live & Local Shellharbour Music Festival 2019, Bird Haven Festival 2019 and Viva La Gong Music Festival 2019.
