Jen Lush

Adelaide singer-songwriter Jen Lush is known for her spacious, emotive vocals, passionate live performances and soaring, starkly modern folk songs that detour into darker pop ballads to hammer on your heart. From her diverse artistic background in dance, theatre and electronica music in Europe and the UK, to the folk-rock decade with Cat Dog Bird, her first solo album in 2017, The Night’s Insomnia – a collection of contemporary Australian poetry crafted into songs, has taken Jen and her stellar band to festivals and venues throughout South Australia, Victoria, NSW and Tasmania. Jen released hew second album in 2021, recorded at Wizard Tone studios with her new band - James Brown, Sam Cagney, Mark Seddon and Paul Angas. In this new work Jen returns to the deeply personal, taking the magnifying glass to the small idiosyncrasies and complexities of motherhood, art and life in the suburbs, whilst examining the broader environmental and political landscape of our current times. band photo by Catherine Leo Photography
