Electronic / Dance
Scott “Janky” Lindsey is an Austin, TX-based, singer-Songwriter-guitarist that plays a somewhat lost style of blues, originated in the juke joints of North Mississippi. This music’s hypnotic rhythms and percussive riffs are focused on good times and making the crowd move. Janky was mentored by the great Texas original, Reverend KM Williams. Janky is on a mission to help bring this style of music back to the world of blues, currently oversaturated with too predictable, overdone approaches. Janky can be found playing many of the Mississippi festivals and has played Switzerland twice with Robert Kimbrough Sr, Junior Kimbrough’s youngest son. Janky also produces and records a select few musicians in his own studio like EJ Mathews, Rev. KM Willams and Robert Kimbrough Sr. Janky has two CDs out, Them Grackles released in 2017 and Holly Springs, TX released in late 2018 which has Robert Kimbrough Sr playing drums. Janky's newest CD, Hill Country Foot Stomp, features Janky with his suitcase foot-drum and Cody Cotton on Harmonica. You can often find Janky playing all of Austin's blues hotspots with his band The Juke Joint Boys.
