Hotwax

Hotwax is 27 year old Florida musician Adam Keilbach. Since July 2011, he has spent his time teaching himself music composition, crafting downtempo electronic tunes with dense rhythms and atmospheric beats. In addition to a few early EPs in 2014-2015, he has appeared on compilations from Intelligent Sound and Purr Tapes, as well as contributed remixes for artists like Akasha System, Brennan Henderson FKA James Deen, and Mark Redito FKA Spazzkid. In June 2017, the debut album from Hotwax arrived. Communicator, a 12 song effort filled with textured, lush soundscapes and ethereal melodies was released via Olympia, WA label 2060 Records. The album features guitar from Nate Wagner of Leaaves and Lord Bendtner, and vocals from synthwave artist Navigateur as well as chillwave vocalist and producer Steffaloo, who has worked with the likes of xxyyxx, Chrome Sparks, Sun Glitters, and more.In August 2019, Hotwax released his Sophomore record, Axiom, from which the title track was shared via Indie Shuffle among other press. It was released via Synth Records which is run by Synthwave artist TEEEL, was mastered by Drew Porras (OnThe88), and featured SleeplessCollective member Synesthete. Released October 2nd, the latest album from Hotwax, Touch To Zero, is a 10-track mix of deep, spacey, downtempo synthwave and mid/uptempo ambient house with a focus on engaging melodies, chill harmonies, and tactile, hip hop-leaning beats.
