Formed in 2020 and rooted in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, Homegrown is a distinguished rock-reggae ensemble. Drawing influence from esteemed reggae artists such as Tribal Seeds, Iya Terra, Rebelution, and Stick Figure, Homegrown is recognized for its distinctive style of reggae, which captures the essence of both musical styles. Homegrown debut single, “Roots Reggae Party,” features collaborations with Jehan Marco of Bradas and Lee Trunks of Dewdrop. This track embodies themes of unity, freedom, and the vibrant spirit of reggae. Through this song, Homegrown seeks to communicate the true essence of reggae while advocating for solidarity and peace.
