Holy Mother is an American heavy metal band formed in the early 1990s by vocalist Mike Tirelli and drummer Jim Harris. Known for their powerful blend of traditional heavy metal, power metal, and hard rock influences, the band gained recognition for Tirelli’s soaring vocals and their high-energy performances. Holy Mother released several albums throughout the ‘90s and early 2000s, including Toxic Rain and Criminal Afterlife, showcasing their aggressive yet melodic sound. After a hiatus, the band made a strong comeback in 2021 with Face This Burn. In 2024, they continued their momentum with the release of Rise, featuring new members Mickey Lyxx on guitar and Wayne Banks on bass. Banks, a seasoned musician with ties to Robin Gibb, Sabbat, and Blaze Bayley, brought additional depth to the band’s sound. Following the album’s release, drummer Steve MacQueen joined the band, further solidifying their lineup. Holy Mother remains active in the metal scene, frequently touring Europe and proving their enduring presence in modern heavy metal.
