Grindead

By putting together elements from the underground music history of Porto, GRINDEAD were born in 2015 as a four- piece band that brings the feeling of rawness back to venues and festivals, with songs that unload the heaviness and abrasiveness of death metal and grindcore, but still retain some strong riffs and groovy rhythm. The members of the band are no strangers to the Portuguese music scene, having been through bands like Genocide, Raising Fear, Bal Onirique, Lost Gorbachevs, Cães Vadios, Mysterium, Hospital Psiquiátrico, among several others. In July 2019, they premiered the first official video on their YouTube channel, with the Turn Black theme included on the demo cassette. After a series of concerts in 2019, in mid-2020 they entered the studio to record their first album. In late 2022, the band became a five-piece project, adding another guitarist to their ranks (Alfredo), also a very well- known member of the Portuguese metal music scene, and, in late 2023, the drumming duties were handed over to our newest member, Nuno Pereira, known from bands like All Kingdoms Fall and Loss Spectra of Pure.
