Samuel Berg and Charlie Johansson grew up together in a small town, playing in various bands, touring, taking detours. Over the years, their music has made its way from indie circles to major labels (Sony Music, Capitol Music), but it wasn’t until they reunited in Stockholm in 2022 that something finally clicked. No grand plans – just two old friends seeing what might happen if they started writing again. The result is GOLA. And out of that meeting - between the old and the rediscovered - came their debut single, Painting By Numbers. Together with producer Anton Fernandez, they’ve recorded their debut EP This Is Our Room, set for release after the summer.
