Gilah

Formerly Inspiraling, Gilah (pronounced Ghee-lah) is the shoegaze, or, "Deep Gaze," project of Gil Israel, based in Ridgewood, Queens. After releasing the last Inspiraling EP, 'The Wrong Places,' via Spirit Goth Records in 2017, the time felt ripe for a name change. After all, new name equals new music ;) The new EP, 'From Where I'm Standing,' out now via Window Sill, is inspired more heavily by slow-core, and ambient textures than previous efforts, while still retaining an emphasis on the same idiosyncratic maximalist aesthetic. The From Where I'm Standing Remixes by Buena Puente, Aisle Knot, russy, and Saapato are out now <3
