Gavin Johns, Aka GeeJai, was born and raised in the deadly streets of Pendleton, Indiana.(they’re not dangerous at all) After small successes in SoundCloud in 2021 with his ‘Pen and Paper’ mixtape, the rapper/song writer decided to take everything a little more seriously and began working on making higher quality songs. Purchasing beats from songs he had in the back burner and linking up with other small artists while he learned to produce, GeeJai made his first full length album, Traffic, which is set to release late 2024. Drawing inspiration from artists like Mac miller, and Tyler the creator, Gavin seems to love the process as much as the result. Once being quoted saying, “Nothing speaks to me like hip hop has and I mean it when I say that I love this art”, the rapper doesn’t plan on any Post Malone esque switch ups. Unless given the opportunity to work with Olivia Rodrigo, (That Little Mexican Girl That be Cryin’ n shi) which will transform him into a pop girly. Geejai loves to stay active in rap but don’t expect any activity on socials during October. Like ever.
