Fresh Specimen

Fresh Specimen began as a garage project of Charlie Murphy (Freak Genes, Isolation, Life Forms) and Roo Pescod (Bangers, The Hippaes) between lockdowns in 2020 when they started jamming together to hold back the ennui. A few songs emerged, a mixture of Charlie's North Coast garage punk vs Roo's inland pop-punk, and the band grew to include local favourites Ed Koral (Old Foes UK), Cora Stocker (Diamond Gussets) and Hannah Gledhill (Broken Arrow, H. Grimace). Their first release was a split cassette in Dec 2022 with Plymouth's Stay Put following a 3 way tour between both bands and High Praise.
