Faethom

FAETHOM is a blackened heavy metal band formed by Mariela Muerte and David Diacrono that emerged from the depths of Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2001 while rising from the remnants of late 90's Bolivian metal band Caustica . The band became fully active in 2008 with the addition of Federico Vidal on bass and Hermes Reyes on drums the year after. Their sound is a monstrous amalgamation of extreme metal, traditional heavy metal, classic rock, and 80s horror movie soundscapes. Co-founders Mariela Muerte and David Diacrono, originally from Cochabamba, Bolivia, weave elements of their birthplace into their music, creating a unique and culturally rich sonic experience. Since their inception, FAETHOM has released three full-length albums, two EPs, a movie theme song, a tribute song, and several demos. In 2022, Floridian bassist Evie Austin joined the ranks, adding her great talents to the band's lineup. Drummer Brian Wilson (Night Demon, Hellwitch, Ex-Yngwie Malmsteen) has been performing live with FAETHOM since 2016 and officially joined the band in late 2019. The band has partaken in numerous festivals, embarked on an extensive U.S. tour, and shared the stage with several internationally renowned metal acts. FAETHOM has been a band on the rise and their music continues to gain recognition and acclaim among metalheads worldwide. Their unique blend of Black, Death, Thrash, and Traditional Heavy Metal, with other influences has created a sound that is both familiar and fresh.
