ElGrandeToto, born Taha Fahssi on August 3, 1996, in Casablanca, Morocco, is a prominent Moroccan rapper known for blending Darija (Moroccan Arabic), French, and English in his music. He has become a leading figure in the North African hip-hop scene, achieving significant success both regionally and internationally.
Growing up in Casablanca, Taha was introduced to hip-hop through his older brother, a b-boy. Initially, he expressed his artistic talents through krumping before transitioning to music in 2016. His first track, « 7elmet ado » helped him gain attention on YouTube. In 2017, he released "Pablo," a track that propelled him into the Moroccan music scene. The following year, he launched his first EP, « Illicit », solidifying his place in the industry.
In March 2021, his album « Caméléon »marked a significant milestone, blending trap, drill, and Afropop, achieving global success and ranking among the top six global album debuts on Spotify.
His 2023 album « 27 »reflects his growth as an artist, mixing introspective themes with various genres. In 2024, his mixtape « SALGOAT » showcased his versatility, further establishing his reputation in the Arab and international hip-hop scenes.
