Elektroninės sutartinės

Elektronines Sutartines is a project by producer/guitarist Victor Diawara (also known for his afro / electronic project Afrodelic) and folklore researcher/performer Laurita Peleniūtė. "Sutartines" is a syncretic art form based on interlinking polyphonic music, lyrics and movements performed by female singers in north-east Lithuania. The project pays hommage to their Lithuanian roots and to ancient traditional Lithuanian folk songs. 
 The concept of "Sutartines” immediately takes many people's thoughts to ancient times. However, the debut album by V. Diawara and L. Peleniūtė is definitely not for museums. The duo build a bridge between folklore and the modern listener, and invite you to discover authentic Lithuanian folk songs “sutartines” in a different context. The aim is to make Lithuanian heritage music more accessible, especially to young people, and to present it to the world.
