“EDGES is a band that plays with boundaries of classic darkwave, but also incorporates elements of shoegaze, dream pop, post-punk, and California punk, which makes them difficult to pigeonhole but irresistible to listen to.” OTHER VOICES, September 2024. EDGES started in Los Angeles circa 2017 as the bedroom recording project of Nick Ruvalcaba. In 2019 Nick relocated to Europe and later released two albums on the Swiss Dark Nights record label: Fragmentia (2021) and Live Transmission (2022). In 2023, EDGES became a duo with the addition of Cristina Sardon as synth player / programmer. With a DIY ethic and support from a community of fringe artists, the duo have since made their way through Europe’s underground scene and have shared the stage with acts like Ductape and ULTRA SUNN. They made their festival debut at FEKETE ZAJ (2023) followed by an appearance at DARK MALTA (2024).
