Born and raised in Coventry, UK - 27 year old Duke Keats cross pollinates his influences ranging from pop psychedelic veterans like, David Bowie, Prince, and Jimi Hendrix to more contemporary sounds from the likes of Toro y Moi, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Sonic Youth. Making connections with fellow creatives both locally and internationally, Duke has supported acts such as Her's , Penelope Isles, Kansas Smitty's, FEET, Marker Starling. Following the latter on tour in Germany as a backing vocalist and session guitarist on multiple BBC Live radio performances including BBC 4 & Marc Riley's BBC 6 show and alongside Laetitia Sadier of Stereolab on the track Waiting for Grace. Most recently, Dukes latest shows were with highly acclaimed Japanese folk artist Ichiko Aoba & Sofar Sounds at the historic Coventry Cathedral. Duke had the pleasure of creating the score for the UK fashion brand Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY Autumn/Winter 2021 collection film 'Gloom' Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY AW21 Score Directed by Fashion Photographer Thurstan Redding (Miu Miu, Versace, Chanel) He was recently featured as BBC Introducing Coventry and Warwickshire Band of the month of August 22 and has since recorded four live on air interviews at BBC cwr with presenters Letitia George and Brody Swain, alongside a news article in the Coventry telegraph. šŸ
