With the single Creation Licks Our Blood, the Winterthur band Death of a Cheerleader releases a vampiric metaphor about life and death, which also serves as a precursor to the upcoming third album Rites of Passage. The band combines influences from wave, goth, heavy metal, and atmospheric doom to create their own distinctive style. Recorded and mixed at the iconic Studio 42 in Winterthur, the album was mastered by long-time collaborator Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, Dool, Tribulation). ‹Rites of Passage› takes listeners on a journey through profound moments of life, where there is only a before or after.
