Chase the Sun

Chase the Sun elevates Hard Rock to new levels of artistic credibility. Creating enduring songs that are Heavy - Melodic - Dark - Beautiful - Progressive is what drives CTS. The LP titled "Chase the Sun" was released on October 1st, 2020. Recorded, mixed & mastered in world-class studio Amplified Wax. CTS entered Amplified Wax Studio again in late 2023 to record 4 more self-produced songs (unreleased). A plethora of new material is constantly being created. The band is emerging with elements of British Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, and Progressive/Technical Metal leanings while modeling none of these directly. Taking these and various other influences as reference points, the band subsequently forges its own unique voice, ignoring trends while subsequently refusing to mirror the past. Sonically, Zach seeks to establish warm, distinctive, yet crushing guitar tones as opposed to the buzz-saw grind found in much heavy music. Jason utilizes a range of powerful, melodic & articulate vocals to evoke an emotional connection between the listener and the lyrics. Myles and the session bassist underpin the proceedings by keeping an ear on rhythmic musicality, while powering the low-end CTS engine like an uncompromising juggernaut. Chase the Sun continues to build it's following with engaging live performances and the ongoing addition of new original music. Formed in 2018, the group’s line-up includes guitarist Zach Hatchett, vocalist Jason Hatchett, drummer Myles Milliman.
