B.S.T.

B.S.T, is a traditional four-piece Doom Metal band located in Hamburg, Germany. The band was originally founded by singer, guitarist and main song-writer Heiko Wenck and Drummer Jan Galinski in 1994 under the name "Blut Schweiß Tränen" which translates to "Blood Sweat Tears". Over the years we made some major changes both in line-up and musical style. Looking back, we consider 2009 to be our "real" birth-year, when the the line-up was completed with Jan Rudßuck on Lead-guitar (and of course Lutz Reimer who had already played bass with us for several years back then). It was around the same time we dropped all remaing hardcore/doomcore roots and concentrated on what we've always done best: heavy, traditional doom metal combined with modern sound and heart-breaking melodies. One of our trademarks is the consequent use of german vocals since the early beginnings. We believe that the deep and intense emotions that characterize Heikos lyrics work best when they do not have to be translated.
