Bobbin
Reggae / Reggae
Born in St. Andrew, Jamaica and raised by his
grandparents in St. Mary. Music was always a part of his life
from a very early age. As a youth, he would DJ at events,
but it wasn’t until traveling to the U.S. that he discovered his
father’s musical side of the family. Bobbin picked up the bass
in the summer of 2007, with his dad as his first instructor. He
gravitated to the bass because it is the ‘pounding heartbeat’
of reggae. Bobbin later rekindled the desire of becoming a singer song writer/DJ as he played bass backing world renowned acts “Michigan
and Smiley” as well as international reggae artists including
Andrew Bees of the group Black Uhuru, Garth Dennis of
Wailing Soul, Daddy Roots of Anguilla, Jahmark and the
Soulshakers, and former lead singer of The Wailers, Yvad. Producing most of his recent releases, Bobbin as dedicated his life in creating and sharing infectious music of all styles hoping to change individual lives across the globe.
